Growing up in the American West, my view was shaped by vast landscapes and dry light. I loved the smell of pine trees and warm rocks on a sunny afternoon. Now I live in Ohio, it’s green, humid and close. It’s the opposite of rugged, but there’s an abundance here that folds around you.
These memories and observations are part of my art process. It always inspired by the natural world—the textures and colors of things that grow, whether there are botanical studies or scenic landscapes.
My years as a graphic designer taught me to make studied and deliberate decisions to amplify someone else’s voice and ideas. Now I’m focusing on uncovering my own ideas through traditional media. And this site is where that work lives.
